In 1986 when Vancouver hosted the Expo 86, I wrote this poem for visitors that we expected:

As a visitor to Vancouver we welcome you here
the dark clouds are gone summer is near,
our beautiful mountains, still covered with snow,
the pacific in which the sun seems to glow,
Many have come to know and love our city,
for who can deny Vancouver is pretty.
So I hope you enjoy our best -
the mountains and ocean of Canada's west!
