From your PAC Executive
Welcome to all parents/guardians of both
Incoming Grade 8s and other students new to Kitsilano
Secondary School. We hope your child’s experience at Kits
will be a happy and rewarding one.
On the first day of school all
parents are welcome to join PAC for coffee, juices and muffins in a
room to be designated. (We are hoping it will
be the Library but won’t know for sure until nearer
the start of school.) Signs will direct you
to the area while your child is welcomed by the
Principal and staff. We hope you can join us.
In late September and early October (the
week of September 29th to October 3rd), there
is an
annual event called Grade 8 Welcome Week. PAC
supports this event by giving financial
assistance for the Grade 8 BBQ. All Grade 8s are
encouraged to attend this fun event which
happens directly after school in the outdoor
courtyard on Wednesday, October 1st.
As a parent/guardian of a child at Kits,
you are automatically a member of the

We also encourage you to take part in the
activities presented by PAC and to get involved in the
planning and implementation of these events. This
is a great way to meet other parents and to
find out about what is happening at school.
