Maybe Parks Board (a level up from Community centre) too re what would happen to tennis courts and so forth. Why not explore the possibility of a pool - the Kits community centre does not have one so Kits swim team looks for time at Lord Byng and UBC?

Does the new school building option have allowance for library floor space to accommodate  both English and French collections for Kitsilano as Kits is a dual track school with both English and French immersion programs?

The Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education are where the seismic directive, the no auditorium with a new building (unless privately funded) directive and the funding come from.

Note at VSB newer secondary school Magee, an auditorium structure was provided by the VSB via the matter of there is Provincial funding allowance for some optional features, and which features a school gets depends on the combined cost of the few chosen.  At Magee the community (PAC) funded the furnishings and equipment in the auditorium. The Magee Alumni were a good source of support for funding the new auditorium. Reported, but not confirmed, is the information that the Magee community (PAC) lobbied the Provincial government and 'another source' of Provincial funds was found to help with the costs of furnishings and equipment in the auditorium.

Also note that Kits currently does not have sufficient gym space and the cafeteria must be used for phys ed. The  Provincial directive for a new building provides less gym space than currently at Kits, meanwhile there is a Ministry directive to increase in the near future the number of grades where phys ed is required.
