I took my first "big" trip overseas in 1974, when I visited my husband's family in Singapore. I was living in the UK at the time, and although I had previously lived in Canada and the U.S., and tripped off to Eire, France, Germany and Luxembourg while living in London, I didn't really get the hang of hitting the road until later in life. After repatriating to Canada in 1977, my travelling slowed down as I had a family to look after, but once that was accomplished I took up travelling again with a vengeance in 1989. And I haven't looked back. |
