Story by Harm

A young warrior arrived at Tristram, and saw blueness in the eyes of a bearded large man. Griswold, the blacksmith was his name. “Hello, what’s the reason you are so blue?” he asked the smith. “Ach Sir...” he sighed. “Mischief is threatening our village. I created a huge sword and strong armor for myself to sweep the evil underneath the village. I started in the church, but the monsters were way too powerful for me. They fight like hell! If I was young, like you my friend, I might have more luck.” “Luck has nothing to do with it, Aragorn the Hero once said to me, when I was a child still.” Griswold interrupted him. “You know Aragorn?”
“Yes, well I did when I was a kid still. Haven’t seen him for quite some time though. As far as I know he is helping some villagers in the far North to get rid of a big dragon!” “I’ve heard two days ago he killed the fell creature!” Gabriel sighed. “Phew, at least I know then he survived that encounter.”
“Ha! Aragorn is invincible! No one, or nothing can defeat him!” “I know... but still it’s good to hear he is doing fine.” “Yes, unlike we...” sighed Griswold. “I shall destroy the evil underneath this village! It is my duty as a knight of the light!” Gabriel said. “I cannot expect that of you! You are perhaps a bit too young! Maybe it’s better if you look for Aragorn instead, and ask him to help us. He already killed Diablo once!” Gabriel leapt back, with a tinge of fear in his eyes. “I thought Aragorn killed Diablo already many years ago!” “He did.” said Griswold. “Even though Diablo fought like hell in hell, Aragorn beat him. He removed the soulstone, and smashed it in his Royal circlet, which he wisely took off and buried. Unfortunately some time ago, after an earthquake, someone found that helmet again. That person must have taken the soulstone out, and couldn’t resist to smash it in his own forehead. You know what happens then, don’t you my young friend?”
“I do.” said Gabriel. “But I will face, and destroy Diablo this time.” Griswold looked at him with a beady eye. “You do have some nice equipment there... But are you skilled enough to kill such powerful creatures?” “I am, when I was young, Aragorn saw me practicing once. I must have been eleven or twelve years old or so... Aragorn saw how devoted I was, and decided to teach me some tips. I must say, almost all I know now, is what he told me back then.” “Well, then I wish you good luck! Please come whenever you need something repaired!” “Luck has nothing to do with it...., and thanks for the offer.” Said Gabriel, and walked to some other villagers to get acquainted. And after buying some pots from a healer called Pepin, he descended into a crack in the earth.
He found gold vipers and blood knights. He quickly found out the blood knights were quite fell, and had to be dealt with one or two at a time. Due to his awesome armored stuff, the monsters did not hit him too easy. He also managed to block some deadly attacks, but still got hit from time to time, especially if two were attacking him at the same time. It really hurt, and he had to guzzle quite some pots. Especially the attacks of the knights really hurt, but he managed to stay alive, and kill them.
He went slow, just like Aragorn impressed on him. Every now and then, he did not have the patience to wait, and activated too many foes at once. While retreating he thought of Aragorn’s words: “When you activated too many enemies, stone curse some, and retreat further. Kill the moving ones on save ground, and go slowly back to kill the ones you stoned earlier.” This he did, and he found the stairs later, without dying.
He walked a bit around in the second level of hell, and found the stairs without seeing any enemies. He descended.
“Somewhere up here Lazarus the betrayer must be. I shall find and kill that bastard!” he thought, while creating a portal that lead to town. He looked carefully at where he was and had a feeling that he was in the South Western part of the level. In the room where he stood, he saw a smaller square room. He did not walk completely around it, but only viewed it from two sides, activating some snow witches and doom guards. Fierce opponents, but not fierce enough to kill him. He walked North, and after killing some more witches and knights, he lured two unique witches out of a Lair. He decided to stone curse both, since he did not feel like chasing them. One dropped a demonspike coat, the other a shield of the tiger. He went to town, sold the shield, and bought more pots.
After creating a new portal to town when he got back, he lured two hellspawn out of the Lair, and activated Lazarus. He stone cursed and slayed them. he used a sword of Haste (without prefix) to kill some advocates who unwisely left the Lair of their master. He always used that sword to kill the mages in hell to stun them. But now they were tougher than usual, and he decided to start using his King’s sword again, after he stone cursed them. (He just couldn’t stand they kept teleporting away.) After killing most foes of the Lair, he walked in, and managed to lure Lazarus out. He killed him, went back in and killed the remaining advocate. He had guzzled quite some pots, but it was worth it.
Gabriel went back to the first room, and walked along some walls, to see if the pentagram was on the other side. “One can feel when the pentagram is near, even when it’s hidden behind a wall.” Aragorn once said. He did not feel the pentagram was close, and went North again. After killing some more witches, by throwing firewalls on them, and dodging their balls, he saw the pentagram in the North Eastern chamber. He ran in, and quickly descended, knowing that all remaining enemies would die after he killed the Dark Lord of terror.
There were two big halls, each dived into two by a big hall. The stairs were in the hall between Diablo’s room and a room with two levers in it. After guzzling a lot of pots, he managed to clear the area in front of Diablo’s lair and halfway around the lever room. He switched the levers, and went back to town. Gabriel bought more pots, and went back. He dropped them on the ground, and went to town again. He now grabbed his most important stuff, and bought some more pots. “Now is the time!” he said to the villagers before going to that deep, dark, and eerie level again.
Very carefully he walked along the wall in front of Diablo’s Lair after he created another town portal. He killed two Bloodknights, and decided that now was the time to use the famous holy bolt. After firing several of them into the dark, he hit the Dark Lord. He ran away, with Diablo on his tail. Diablo hit him in the back while he ran, but Gabriel didn’t give up. He ran to a save place, where he had dropped the pots. Then he put his back against the wall, and threw many firewalls, while drinking some pots which not only healed him, but also restored his mana supply.
He thought of casting a golem behind Diablo, but didn’t do it. He could not tell why. Gabriel swung his sword with all his strength, and after guzzling a lot of pots, Diablo was defeated! His blood spouted out of his red chest, and after a terrifying roar, he fell with his back on the cold stone ground. Immediately after, the firewalls perished. Diablo was defeated! And he did not die! He walked towards his defeated opponent, and almost tripped over some potions. He did not get the chance to use them, since he stood in a corner, and Diablo practically stood on them. “Ah well, next time I’ll use merely one wall then.” He thought, though hoping the evil had been defeated forever this time. He wanted to go to town, but then saw the soulstone in the monsters forehead. He couldn’t leave it there! Somebody else might find it! He reached for his dagger, and got the stone out. Then reluctantly he moved the stone to his forehead. “If you don’t have a big helmet, like my Royal circlet, then you REALLY have to duck!” he remembered Aragorn saying. This he did. The soulstone got smashed into the wall behind him. After removing the brick (in which it was stuck) with his sword, he went to town again. Before bringing the people of Tristram the good news, he decided to bury the brick with the soulstone somewhere behind the cemetery.
Cain and Pepin organized a great feast in town, with a lot of food and whine. Griswold came to Gabriel, and sat down next to him. He grabbed a beer, and said: “Aragorn the hero would be proud of you!” A big smile appeared on Gabriel’s face. “I hope so.” He said. “I hope so.”

The End.

I hope you liked it.

On 05-05-2001 Taibo and I played an ironman game. Taibo played with a Rogue, called Taiche, and I played with a warrior, called Lord_Gabriel.
The first thing we did was buy health potions with our 100 gold pieces. I gave Taiche one of mine, and we went to church. When we came there I had a déjà vu; there was this wounded man I saw before. Very strange! But we descended to level 1.
After discussing a few strategies, we started fighting, and cleared level 1 without much trouble. (One of them was that I would open doors, and stand next to it, Taiche would stand straight across the door. This way we could both hit the monster in the doorway, without hitting each other.)
Down to level 2. We decided to leave the butcher’s door closed, till we finished all enemies. Because we did not have enough pots, we encountered some difficulties. There were several skeleton archers in a room, and we ran out of pots. Taiche gave me a spare bow, and we started shootin’ at them bastards. We didn’t hit enough, and our health ball started drying out; just a small layer of red fluid was left. “Retreat (abbreviated as R)” I shouted, and we ran like the wind to a safe spot.
This was tough! But I had an idea; we would leave those annoying archers alone, till we had more pots. The archers were in the North, and we went to the South. We were almost dead, and there was a pack of monsters near by. “Why don’t we die together?!” said Taiche. “Ah hell, why not?” I thought, and we went for it. We rushed in and discovered that there were melee monsters and ranged attackers. Out of habit I retreated to safe ground to kill the melee monsters there. But Taiche remained. “Damn!” I thought, and rushed back in. First I helped Taiche by killing some monsters in front of her, and then I went after some archers, while she killed some other monsters.
Almost out of red fluid! “This is the end!” I thought. I managed to kill one archer, while some melee monsters ran towards me, and some other archers were still shooting at me. I killed another one, and…… levelled up! My whole ball was filled again! “Now ye’all die bastards!” I thought. We managed to kill all the monsters and didn’t die. We went further, and whacked the pack of archers we met before. A bit further in the labyrinth we found a pack of zombies with a unique one. We still didn’t have pots, or perhaps one or so, I can’t remember. They came very close, and we were both wounded from the fights before. “Retreat!” I shouted. While retreating, I got the bow again, and helped shooting. When they came too close again, we retreated again. After a while we whacked all of them. We cleared the rest of level 2, except for the butcher’s room; he was still there.
We found this room with gratings and a door. “Here we can kill the butcher!” I said. Taiche would wait while I went to get the butcher. I opened his door, and lured him to the room with gratings. He was right behind me, and I felt him breathing down my neck. “Why is that pig so fast?!”, I thought. I ran as fast as I could, but the distance between him and I didn’t increase much. To get to that room, I had to go through a particular entrance, with two blocks of gratings beside it. I went through, and went North again (walking next to the gratings.) The distance between the butcher and me had already become a bit bigger. He also went north, but still was on the other side of the gratings. I stopped. And so did he. He would only have to take a few steps to the South, go through the entrance, and go a few steps North to get next to me. He didn’t, and thus I started shooting. I hit the wall, and took one step aside. Now he started moving a few steps to the North, then a few to the South. I feared he would go through the entrance, but he did not. So I started shooting. Missing a lot, but I could hit him! I warned Taiche that he got stuck, and told her where I was (I was already very near by the room.) She came, but accidentally moved a bit too much South. Now the butcher went a bit more South, and found the entrance. “Retreat!” I shouted. We ran to the room with the gratings, but the butcher was right behind us. We reached the room, but couldn’t close the door in time. Without pots we were doomed! Doomed I tell ya! Anyway, because I entered the room as first, I could quickly equip my weapon and shield. In the rush I grabbed my mace instead of my sword. Like I said, we couldn’t close the door in time, and the fight started. The butcher swung his cleaver as fast as a poison spitter spits his balls; way too fast!
And because I couldn’t heal myself I died. My first death ever with a warrior. (This was my 4th warrior BTW.) I didn’t restart in town yet, I looked how the butcher looked at Taiche with an evil grin on his demonic face, and then walked towards her… she was trapped! Because she couldn’t heal herself either, she was dead quickly after. We met in town again.
As far as I know the ironman game was over, cause we died, but we went back. I said to Taiche: “Wait in the butchers room, and close the door. I’ll lure the butcher away, and kill him on the stairs down to level 3.” He agreed, and I went back to that fiend. “Wraah! Fresh meat!” He shouted again, and came after me. Around the corner there was that entrance with the two blocks of gratings. I couldn’t resist, and used it again. It worked, but the butcher moved to the North and South again. (Again on the other side, but now he was were I was before, and visa versa.)
I missed a lot because of that hyper active pig. I had to repair my bow once, and began shooting again. It did take so long! He was just like that bunny from the commercials; he just kept going and going.
Taiche got tired of waiting, did not like the smell of death in that horrible room, got wet feet from all the blood, and wanted to sit because her feet were getting tired from standing around waiting to help. I told her one of them bodies would make a great chair, LoL. Later she found this nice head she could sit on, waiting till I was ready. Taiche swears that she saw the head wink at her………………! LoL
This job took more patience than I had; I just missed way too often. So I decided to run to the stairs. He wouldn’t move there. I ran, and he followed. The distance between him and I was little again. I reached the stairs (near the butcher’s room) and walked around it. He was just two steps or so behind me, and I couldn’t get him on the right side. I ran away again, and found another grated room very near by. But the butcher stopped behind a wall. “Sigh.” I told Taiche not to get out of the butcher’s room, cause the butcher was right there. I don’t know exactly what we did then, but we ended up in the room, where we were killed before. And got killed again, cause we couldn’t close the door in time. We met in town again.
This time Taiche would lure him away, and I would go to that place we were killed and throw a town portal. She lured him away, but lost the butcher. I went North (where that room was) and found the butcher. “Oops.” I ran west and the butcher was right behind me. He suddenly stopped and ran South! (Where Taiche was). “Watch out!” I screamed. But Taiche didn’t see the butcher. “That was vague!” But I could go to that room again. I did, and threw a town portal. I grabbed my stuff, and repaired everything up there. I’m not sure if Taiche met the butcher again, but she went up to town, and took my town portal. She grabbed her stuff, and we decided to go to level 3. (I know, forbidden when playing an ironman game. But because we had already died, it wouldn’t matter anymore.)
We cleared everything, but suddenly a light spot became visible. LEO! “R” (=retreat) I shouted a dozen times or so, as fast as I could. We ran, with Leo and some skeletons on our tail. All of a sudden Taiche stopped. I thought she was typing a message, which would be deadly at that moment. But she was very smart, and threw a town portal! Then she ran again. We went to the stairs, and went back up to town, and took the town portal. Leaving Leo behind on the stairs up to level 2.
We cleared everything else on level 3, and decided to go for Leo’s ass. I would lure him away, and go stand two steps behind the door. Taiche stood against the wall, and thus we could both hit Leo. I only had 1 scroll and 1 pot. Ah well. I hit him, while Taiche fired some holy bolts. After that some arrows followed. But Leo was no pansy! He was a very tough opponent, and killed me. Then he went to Taiche, and killed her as well. We met in town and called it a day. (Or night, as it was already after midnight up here in Holland.) It was fun, but very tough because we didn’t have enough healing pots. With some more pots we might have been able to kill the butcher, and perhaps even Leo. Ah well, live and learn.

Well, I hope we all enjoyed the reunion! I know I did! Many Iron Man games were played (I'd love to see reports of those, btw) and many people started new characters! I did, and got it up to 17 in 4 or less hours! Many people saw people they've never seen, some made new friends, some got godly items (I did, for my new Rogue, Senorita_Lamo) some people enjoyed it, others did not, some could've cared less. I know I went pubbie fanatic today! I bothered at lest 12 trainer brats, or maybe even more! (BTW, does anyone need the full diablo set, or gpow? heh) Claiming many-a GPOW and AAA staffs w/ 255 charges. Some fought lazarus alot, others got dots (at least I assume they did) and others spoke for the whole majority of the time.
So; This concludes another succesful DSF Reunion! Hope to see one next year (if Blizzard doesn't kill it first ((No suggestoins, please GF)))
LONG LIVE THE DSF!

The thunder rumbled in the distance when the warrior painfully extrated himself from the bowels of Hell. He was covered by unholy blood and a wild crazy look was in his eyes. Pepin gasped when the small lean man turned the corner of his house and rushed to aid him, only to recoil in horror as he saw the red glowing ruby in the man's forehead. Pushing Pepin aside with a warning grunt, the man made his way toward his room at Ogden's inn. Pausing at the fontain to wash some of the sticky grime off his obsidian field plate of the stars, the warrior locked eyes with Cain. "So you did killed the Dark Lord, my friend. Beware, for I fear your journey has only began" Cain said. The young man, only 23 levels old, looked at his reflection in the water and smashed his fist at the ruby's image. "No, he screamed, No, Diablo's dead, dead I tell you! I killed him and he won't come back!!" In fury, the young man struck the side of the foutain, chipping a good size block of granit while the unholy laughter he was hearing since containing Diablo's essence in himself, laughed only louder.......
This is my report of my first ever solo dot with a warrior :-). I managed to make this 1@23 this morning.,
Started the run at level 21, with my LAW, Shivaking'jr, and with repaired happy-feets, thanks to patch 1.09.
level 13
I only wanted to try out one hell level but the doom guard and cave vipers made things very easy :-). I cleared the level and decided to go down to...
Level 14
And I found that the stairs to 15 were right beside the up stairs... I immediatly went to...
level 15
Ouch... Cabalists and Soul burners :-P. Cabalists burned well in my level 2 FW and soul burners were SC'ed and trashed. This level was very potion expensive but I managed to kill my way to laz. With much less problems than I anticipated I killed them all and Laz gave me Doombringer :-) a not so bad sword for my level. It replaces my warrior's sword of brilliance quite well :-). The penta was right to the south.,
Level 16
I cleared the battleground I needed to tk the switches and to have room for Diablo. the BK where no match for me and the Advo's fireballs hurted! I switched to my obsidian warhammer of haste and thing got smoother ;-). Diablo was easily lured with HB and kill the old fashion S/S way.
I'm quite proud of my little warrior, he did well. My warrior's honor is saved :-)

Story:

Two rogues, one warrior, and one sorcerer arrived at Tristam. The four hundred gold the four had saved up were spent at Pepins on small reds as they discussed strategy to sweep the evil that had gathered on holy grounds. Dividing the reds amongst themselves, they descended into the lonely church upon sight of the accursed dying man out in front.
The first level from town had a few skeletons, fallen ones, scavengers, and the zombies. The mighty magics and brute force that was contained within the four heroes destroyed all.
Finding the stairs descending deeper into hell, the band of fighters went down, cautious of what awaited. The demon that was rumored to await its victims, right fully called the Butcher, was found easily near the a set of stairs leading down, as well as a grated room with a Mysterious Shrine.
The warrior was chosen to lead the demon to the room, as the two rogues and sorcerer could hit the Butcher with their ranged attacks from the safety of the grates, as the demon was too stupid to open doors.
As the warrior opened the door, the cry of the demon echoed through the dungeon, "Ahh! Fresh Meat!" The plan was for the warrior to open the demon's door, run back into the protected door using a sarcophagus and ranged fire from his allies as an obstruction to the demon, and close the door. Unfortunately the demon fell into step right behind the noble warrior, and held him in the grasps of its cleaver. The warrior fell in his brave and honorable mission as curtner, the rogue quickly closed the door.
The ranged attackers hit the doomed demon with all their arrows, charged bolts, and firebolts hitting their own allies occasionally, but finally the echo of the Butcher's body hitting the cold ground brought cheers to the dungeon.
The three heroes left, checked the rest of the dungeon for the rumored spell powerful enough to raise those fallen to evil. As luck would have it, the first object a monster dropped was this spell. The sorcerer quickly gathered it and went to the site of the warrior's death to prepare the resurrection ritual. A blue orb of magic swirled around the sorcerer, and a beam of light from the heavens pierced through the ground reviving the once dead warrior.
The rest of this level provided no trouble, and the four continued their journey. By this time the sorcerer had learned the holy bolt spell to level 4 in anticipation of the former (now skeleton) king, King Leo that awaited wanderers on level 3.
The four went down the stairs to challenge the king and to release him from his evil bonds. At this point one of the rougues, Lady_Leandra, had to leave as she was called back by the Sisters. The three were left to attempt their journey alone. King Leo could be seen through the walls of the dungeon as he cast a white light from his body. The three attempted to clear the rest of the dungeon which had Hiddens, skeleton types (perhaps Horrors or Corpse Axes or Corpse Captains), and scavenger types (it’s hard to remember these things after dying ;-). The sorcerer promptly died after being hit by Hiddens and scavengers. The warrior was the next to go and died a bit later but near where the sorcerer had.
The rogue was left to finish the job, and she cleared the rest of the level, leaving King Leo last. At a level of 9, the rogue couldn't face the King by herself, so she continued down to level 4. She quickly found the spell that was used earlier to resurrect the warrior. This time it was used on the sorcerer, since he was greater prepared to face the undead King than the warrior. The beam of light descended once again upon the sorcerer and he was revived, now at level 3. He found the book of Holy Bolt the rogue had found earlier and learned its contents increasing the power of the spell he already knew.
The two hurried to just outside the door leading into the King's room and prepared themselves. A scroll of Firewall was found, and the sorcerer kept it in his belt. The door opened, and hordes of skeletons poured through as the rogue blocked the door, shooting arrow after arrow, with the sorcerer shooting Holy Bolts past her. The rogue promptly died because leo took his turn in the line of skeletons and took his swings at her. She got real low on life and having no pots she was hoping for some heal other but it never came and she fell victim to leo's last swing before the sorcerer’s holy bolt locked the King in his place by the white bolts of pure energy.
He quickly died, for good this time as the sorcerer was left alone with open wounds and broken bones and no healing spells. There was nothing left to do but go down to the next level and try his luck. His luck was however not very good, as four skeletons greeted him, who surrounded and killed him almost instantaneously. Thus the journey of the four ended, and as I lay here and was thinking of our adventure, the skeletons continue to swing their axes as if I was still alive. ;-)

Two brave and powerful warriors arrived at Tristram. They had heard evil creatures had gathered underneath the village, and that some betrayer, called Lazarus, had to be taken out. They went to an old sage called Deckard Cain the town elder. He was the one that told the two warriors of Lazarus.
Deckard was delighted to see the two heroes, and quickly told them Lazarus could be found in hell. (Assuming that’s what he meant with “Go to hell.” He also told that the most powerful denizens of darkness could be found there. And today all those monsters were even more powerful than on other days. Only in nightmares one could encounter such horrific monsters. The two brave men didn’t hesitate, and immediately went down a rift that directly led to hell. They descended and began discovering the terrain, encountering Doom Guards and Vipers. One of the warriors gained health after each hit, while the other one swung his sword as fast as the blink of an eye. The powerful creatures were cut down where they stood, and the heroes actually had fun whacking them. After a short while they found stairs that led deeper into the labyrinth.
The noble warriors had a strange feeling that there might be other monsters in this level. It turned out to be true; Witches and Vipers! The oldest warrior, Aragorn immediately threw some firewalls and fried the fierce creatures. Taibo, the other warrior, told Aragorn that he liked his steaks well done. They laughed, and advanced further and further into the dark labyrinth. Every now and then the screams of a doomed soul echoed throughout the dim spooky halls. But the warriors weren’t terrified by these screams, and continued their quest. After slaying several dozen fierce creatures, they found the stairs down.
The witches were still there, but now there were knights as well. The two cooperated very well, and had no real difficulty with them. After walking around in that level for a while they got thirsty. Aragorn threw a portal that immediately led to town. They first went to Grizwold, a blacksmith. He would repair the equipment of the two, but it would take a short while. That wasn’t a problem, and the two warriors gave him their equipment. At that moment Taibo went to Pepin and Aragorn to Adria, to ask if they wanted to brew some pots with a healing and mana regenerating liquid. This would take a short while as well. The two met again at Ogden’s. They ordered some wine and beer, and some bread to fill their stomachs. At that moment a young but experienced naked mage showed up. The two warriors introduced themselves, and so did the mage. The mage, called Mahondolf, told the two, a man called Deckard Cain asked him to come. He was the backup plan to wipe out Lazarus. The two warriors said, that they were able to handle the situation down there pretty well, but Mahondolf’s help would be appreciated. He was just the man to take out those annoying witches. Maholdolf said that because he was already there, he might as well help the two out a little. But, first some beer! The three talked for a short while, and after about half an hour, Grizwold waved. “The equipment is repaired my friends!” he said with a Scottish accent. Pepin came out as well, and said the pots were ready. The two warriors paid Ogden with some gold they found in the labyrinth, and told Maholdolf they would throw a town portal. The warriors got their stuff, and the pots, and went back down. Aragorn immediately threw a town portal. The two warriors had already entertained themselves with a golem fight. But now they wanted to know whose golem was stronger; Aragorn’s or Mahondolf’s. They waited a minute or so, and then Mahondolf came down the portal.
“A golem fight? Ah, why not!” he said, and both Aragorn and Mahondolf created a clay golem. The two walked towards each other, and the fight started. It wasn’t clear which golem belonged to whom, but the three thought Mahondolf’s golem had won. Another fight ensued to make sure Mahondolf’s golem was stronger indeed. But this time Aragorn’s golem won. 1-1. Now the final round. Mahondolf’s golem won, and the three were amused. But the time had come again to sweep the evil that had gathered in the third ring of hell. Mahondolf was a very good co-oper, and eliminated many witches. The warriors occasionally took out a witch as well, but concentrated on the knights. Everything went very well, but at a certain moment, Mahondolf teleported over a wall, got surrounded, and got killed. Aragorn had a scroll with instruction on how to bring a fallen friend back. He used it, and bright heavenly light shone down upon the body of the mage. His eyes opened again, and with some mana pots he fixed himself up. The three continued, and found Lazarus’ Lair shortly after.
Aragorn said he would go in on 3…. “1.2…3….” and he ran in. Taibo and Mahondolf quickly followed. Lazarus and some followers of his quickly found out that their opponent’s swords were not supposed to be used for brushing their teeth. The accompanying fireworks should’ve given this away.
Lazarus dropped a ring, and the three were curious what kinda ring it was exactly. The three went back to town, and brought Deckard the good news. He was very delighted and identified the ring for free. (Wow! What a “Deck” of a guy! LOL) It turned out to be a ring of vigor! What a disappointment, but the mission was accomplished.
The two warriors had to leave again, but they both had gifts for some friends of them, both mages. Mahondolf said he would hang around for some time at Ogden’s, and that he would give the presents to their friends. The warriors thanked him, and left Tristram, one went North, the other East.
Several hours later the two mages were both there, and found Mahondolf at Ogden’s. They took the gifts, and thanked Mahondolf. After a short chit-chat, Mahondolf had to leave as well.
The two mages were left, and walked around a little bit. They found a small church, and a wounded townsman in front of it. He asked them if they would kill the butcher for him. Lord Kilgor and Taiche went down to find this demon. Lord Kilgor was way too experienced for this quest, so he stone cursed the butcher, and let Taiche do the real work. Down to level 3. They found King Leoric very soon, Lord Kilgor was a bit too enthusiastic, and his guardians killed Leo before the both of them knew what was going on. Well, nothing left to do, so both Mages left town again, leaving - the once infested by many monsters - Tristram behind.
The end.
