The natural beauty of the South Pacific is almost overshadowed by the hospitality of the Melanesian, Polynesian, and Micronesian people that inhabit these scattered islands. I first visited the area in 1989 and have been returning ever since.
My obsession is Solomon Islands, followed closely by Fiji, but my ramblings have taken me to Vanuatu, West Papua, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, and the Cook Islands as well. I can't leave well enough alone. If you are interested in viewing some scenes from these captivating tropical islands, please follow the links. Nothing on West Papua or PNG, though; during the 1994 RTW trip my little camera suffered a major heart attack.
