M4A2 E8 Sherman
I built this kit in 2003, as a gift
for a close friend of mine who grew up climbing all over these in his home of
Stettler, Alberta.
It started life as Dragon’s M4A3 E8
and with a few modifications to the rear of the upper and lower hulls and the
engine deck it was soon transformed into an M4A2. The markings are that of the
Calgary Tanks Regiment, during the late 1950’s when they were a reserve unit.
The dust cover on the mantlet was made with tissue paper soaked in a 50/50 mix
of white glue and water.
