L.R.D.G. Chevrolet Truck
This kit is another of the oldie but
goodies. Build in 1994, this was a fun build all the way. How much more fun can
you have with a model then loading it up with all sorts of paraphernalia. The
kit is the Tamiya offering and though it is one of their older kits, it still
builds up relatively nice. The seats were recovered with medical tape, as were
the windshields, and all the tarps were constructed using a 50/50 mix of white
glue and water applied to Kleenex tissue. Chains and hooks were added using
staples.
This kit took first place in the
softskin category at an IPMS regionals in Western Canada.
Unfortunately, this old girl is
starting to show her age a bit. The tires are starting to develop cracks in
them so her days are numbered.
