About the author:

Lorene Ruymar received her teacher training at the University of British Columbia and taught for 18 years as classroom teacher, band master, and music specialist for the Vancouver School Board. Her steel guitar teacher was none other than the great Jerry Byrd, Master of Touch and Tone, in Hawai'i.
