Our goal was to show off our (hobby?) (lifestyle?) birds, and that we did with style...

Our booth was very popular with the visitors, bringing the birds in was a big plus, sometimes we had 20 or more gathered around the booth. We must have given out 100 business cards and 30 membership applications. We already have 3 new members and more coming. Our real purpose with the Pet Expo is to reach those bird owners who don't yet know about us so they can find us to use our resources, most of which is the fellowship with other caring, knowledgeable members. This we accomplished.

I will start thinking about a new display for next year, I'm sure we could aim at winning the best booth award. We can certainly win the best pet picture prizes. The birds do most of the work for that.

It has been suggested that we consider doing a presentation on the main stage next year on our birds. This is an interesting idea...
if you have any ideas around that, please pass them on to me. mailto:spbs@shaw.ca
