Grade 12 Parent Night
Grade 12 Parent Night is held by the school at the start of the year to
provide information to parents about their students' graduating year.
All grade 12 parents and students are welcome to attend this
informative evening where important information for the year ahead will
be given. The evening will include information on post-secondary
applications, last years entrance requirements and school sponsored
grad year activities.
Come prepared
with your questions and we will try to answer them all! Grade 11
parents and students are also welcome to attend.

PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT FOR GRADE 12 STUDENTS - Thursday, September 30th, 6:30-7:30 pm
There will be a Grade 12 parent/guardian information session on Thursday, September 30th, 6:30-7:30 pm in the auditorium. This is an important meeting for both grade 12 students and their parents.
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION:
(1) graduation requirements
(2) requirements for Canadian Universities
(3) requirements for American Universities
(4) scholarships
(5) language proficiency index, etc.

- Post-Secondary Information Night, 3:25-5:05 pm (see notice below)
- Grade 12 Parent Night, 6:00 pm
CAREER CENTRE NEWS – Emilie Dorsemaine, Career Information Advisor
- KITSILANO POST SECONDARY DAY - November 3rd, 2009 This event will
allow students to meet with several post-secondary representatives to
learn more about their programs. Sessions begin at 3:25 pm and run
until 5:05 pm. Students choose 3 x 30 min sessions. Representatives
visiting Kitsilano include; BCIT, Langara College, Simon Fraser
University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Douglas College,
Royal Military College, Thomson Rivers University, Trinity Western
University, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Vancouver Community
College, University of Victoria and the University of Northern British
Columbia. Grade 11’s/12’s and their parents are encouraged to attend.

NOTE: UBC is not attending this event. They are coming to Kitsilano on
Thursday, November 12th, after school in the counselling suite. Please
sign up on the sheet outside your the Career Centre or counsellor's

ask your sons or daughters to please let Ms. Chandra know about
any scholarships that they have received, as we would like to recognize
them during the closing ceremonies. They should please provide their
first and last names, the name(s) of the scholarship(s), the name of
the organization or institution granting the scholarship, and the
amount of the scholarship, and let her know via e-mail to:

Grade 11 and 12 students along with their parents are invited to attend
the Post-Secondary Liaison day on Thursday, October 26th starting at
3:30
p.m.
Representatives from BC Universities and Colleges will be presenting
each session 3 times. This will be followed up by a brief session
for Grade
12 parents in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m.
