All the Queen's Men...
November 9th, 2004

After their recent tour of duty in Iraq, the battalion at the Howe Barracks in Canterbury, Kent, England received a visit from the Queen on November 9th, 2004. In her role as commander of the armed forces, the Queen presented medals to the soldiers.

The official photograph taken of the Queen with the 1st Battalion of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, Colonel Simon West had failed to adjust his sporran and kilt.

Here he sits, proudly in the front row, directly next to the Queen, sporting his own crown jewels for the world to see. (Mouse over the picture to see the unedited version.)
