This site has been created to document the changes to my 1985 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer.
I wanted to share my experiences while doing the modifications to the Jeep so that the rest of the world, and those on the Jeep newsgroups that I participate in, may benefits from the knowledge I have gained while performing these modifications.

a little background
On July 22, 2000 I purchased my first four wheel drive vehicle. It doesn't look too bad in the picture above, but there are holes in the fenders and around the wheels that will eventually need to be repaired.
Originally, the Jeep had a 2.1L Turbo Diesel engine, but by the time I got it, there was a 2.8L V6 with no emission controls, and the vacuum lines incorrectly hooked up so there was no engagement for the front axle. There was an AX5 transmission with a NP207 transfer case behind it. An incorrectly adjusted linkage meant that there was no 4-LOW.
