"In August we had the opportunity to go salmon fishing in West Coast waters with Capt Dick of Intrepid Charters.
We enjoyed an excellent day fishing with Dick. We were rookies in all aspects of salmon fishing. Dick was very patient and understanding in his role as the teacher. He has a great sense of humour and uncanny ability to teach effectively, demonstrating a serious attitude towards our personal safety and always following the local fishing and boating legislation to the tee.
We caught a total of eight salmon (two Chinook and six Coho). He arranged for canning the fish we caught shipment to our homes in Alberta.
