Rawes. Frederick
The husband of Maud Kellett (formerly Rawes) of 74, Longfields Crescent, Hoyland, he was born in Langdale, Ambleside, Westmorland, lived in Hoyland Common and enlisted at Birdwell on the 28th May 1909.
He was killed in action on the 28th June, 1915, while serving in Gallipoli.
Research suggest that Fredrick Rawes Private 5935 1st Bn. Border Regiment and Fred Rose Private 5936 1st Bn. Border Regiment were friends that served together .
