Pepper. Samuel John Wood
The son of John Wordsworth Pepper and husband of Elizabeth Pepper of 121, Sheffield Road, Birdwell, he lived in Hoyland and enlisted at Howden.
He died of wounds on the 10th October, 1917, while serving on the Western Front.
