Lockwood. Charles

The son of Arthur and Hannah Lockwood he was born in Barnsley, lived in Barnsley and enlisted at Attercliffe on the 25th January 1915 (Age 16). He was posted to the Mediterranean Force on the 12th July 1915 and returned to England on the 19th September 1915 (Under Age). On the 23rd March 1916 he was re-posted to the Expeditionary Force France.

He was killed in action on the 21st April, 1916, while serving on the Western Front.

 

His father Private 7839 Arthur Lockwood and brother Serjeant 241178 Herbert Lockwood, also died in the Great War.
