Lipscombe. Harry
Was the son of William and Ellen Lipscombe he was born in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham on the 27th August, 1897, the family moved to 9 Ebenezer Place, Church Street, Elsecar in 1909 and he went to Elsecar Boys School.
He enlisted at Barnsley in the King's Own Scottish Borderers before transfering into the 14th Bn. Highland Light Infantry, he was killed in action on the 9th April, 1918, while serving on the Western Front.
