Was born in Hoyland and lived in Thurnscoe, the husband of Harriet Cunningham (formerly Goldthorpe) of 1, Pickles Square, Queen Street, Hoyland Common, he enlisted at Wath-on-Dearne and was killed in action on the 10th July, 1915, while serving on the Western Front.
