The husband of Sarah Elizabeth Stephenson (formerly Ashmore) who lived at 19, Carr Street, Hurst Cross, Ashton-under-Lyne (born Hoyland Common), h was born in Rotherham and enlisted at Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire.
He died of wounds on the 23rd September, 1917, while serving on the Western Front.
