The son of Ellen Fletcher (formerly Adams) of 270, West Street, Hoyland, he was born in Wincobank, Sheffield, and enlisted at Birdwell on the 14th January 1915.
He was killed in action on the 13th October, 1918, while serving on the Western Front.
