Grooming
Because our dogs live on the mild west
coast,
they
shed their undercoat early on in the year, our females shed more than our
male, who might only shed once every few years.

As the Eurasier is very adaptable to its
environment, our dogs coats have adapted incredible well to our lifestyle of
lots of warmth and lots of water. Those dogs who live in colder climates,
might grow a
thicker undercoat. As well, generally speaking, if a Eurasier is
spayed or neutered, their coats will grow much thicker and longer.
Our children have been delighted to watch the birds use
the discarded undercoat for their nests in the spring.
The Eurasier is a seasonal shedder and will only shed
once or twice a year, depending on the hormones and weather, however each
Eurasier seems to have his or her own timing for shedding.
