- Summer swim times - Swim times for the summer months will change from the regular practices, depending on pool and member availability.
- Different Strokes participates at IGLA in Washington DC. A swimming, water polo, diving, synchronized swimming and open-water swimming event that brings together LGBT aquatics athletes for a week of competition June 18-22, 2008.
- Different Strokes Participates at Pride Calgary 2012 at the street gala in the Olympic Plaza.
Social Activities
Different Strokes Calgary endeavors to coordinate regular, informal social events in addition to organized workouts and clinics. The club meets for coffee or dinner at a mutually agreed location after each swim practice.
The club has established a number of fun events over the past two years. There have been several parties, potluck dinners and pool parties.
Although not part of DSC's formal activities, many of the swimmers get groups together for skiing, hiking, white water rafting, and other recreational sporting activities.
