Much to my surprise on July 22, 2005, I discovered that Keri and Claudia had planned a surprise baby shower for me! Loads of people from work (and Aimee) were waiting to greet me when I came in the door after an "innocent" dinner out with my mom. Dave had been pretending to be sick so that he could secretly come home to help with preparations and he met me at the door in his bathrobe with a thermometer in his mouth.

The food was all awesome and the decorations looked great. Everyone was so generous and our baby room is now filling up rapidly. Dave's parents, Carol and Randy, my grandma, and Auntie Gail and Uncle John also sent packages. Even though they couldn't be there in person, we appreciate the thought that they wanted to be a part of this special time for us.
