The test materials on this cd are intended for Principles of Math 12 (in BC), Pure Math 30 (in Alberta) and the academic stream of math in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Topics covered are Transformations, Logarithms, Sequences and Series, Coordinate Trigonometry, Trigonometric Identities, Conic Sections, Combinatorics, Probability, and Statistics. There are also several term tests on the cd which are broken into Term 1 which covers transformations, logs, sequences and series and trig 1. Term 2 covers trig 2 (identities), conics, combinatorics, probability and statistics. Each topic will have at least 5 different tests with 2 versions of each (i.e. morning and afternoon.)
The multiple choice questions are the same on each version but have been scrambled. The written response questions are parallel but different. Most tests have a non calculator multiple choice section, a calculator multiple choice section and a written response portion. The tests follow a format similar to the BC provincial exam for Principles of Math 12. Each test has an answer key for the multiple choice section.
Tests are in two formats:
- LXRTEST 5.1
- Many school districts have lxrtest software. If your district is running LXRTEST 6.0 it is very easy to convert these files to version 6.0. First time you try to load them the program will prompt you to convert to 6.0 , say yes and it will convert them to 6.0 file structure. Using LXRTEST you can take questions from any of the data banks and make your own customized tests. It is far more flexible than the pre made pdf tests. - If your school does not have lxrtest and does not wish to purchase it the pre made tests are in PDF format and can be used as is. Each pdf test file has an accompanying test key for the test version which was printed. So the logs test file logf04am.pdf would have logf04amk.pdf as its multiple choice answer key.
