As a visual artist I am intrigued by the natural world and my desire to create is fuelled by a strong fascination with things I witness. The images that emerge focus primarily on personal observations of nature relevant to my surroundings and experiences.
Exploration in the imagery is achieved with attention to the composition and focusing my concentration on elements such as line, shape, texture, colour and value.
These works on paper are derived from a variety of surfaces that employ several types of printmaking techniques that include serigraph, relief block, intaglio plate and photopolymer gravure. Each one presents its own set of challenges that have forced me to think, learn from and see beyond my own limitations.
