"Name The Newsletter" Contest

Our Beth Tzedek Summer Newsletter will be coming out very shortly and so we invite all members to submit their contributions to our editor Bluma Goldberg.  Submissions may range from the lighter side like recipes, humour, travel tips, etc. to more serious contributions for the "mind and spirit" appropriate to our congregation. Personal essays, poems, ... anything that moves your "literary soul" are always welcome. We still await suggestions for a name for our new-look Newsletter. This is your last chance! Beth Tzedek Summer "Pot Luck" Social

Our annual summer social will be hosted this year by Becky & Hy Shandling. (Thank you Becky & Hy!) It will be held on Friday, September 9th at 7:00 pm. This is always a highlight of our congregation's summer activities. The Shandling’s home is located at 7820 – 119th Street. We ask all members to RSVP either Becky Shandling at 436-5287 or Shoshana Bankey at 486-0172. Becky and Shoshana are coordinating the food arrangements so let them know as soon as possible what you are planning to bring or, alternatively, they can recommend/suggest what is still needed so that we have a nice variety. Look forward to seeing you there!

Rosh Hashanah Morning Services Tues. & Wed., Oct. 4th & 5th at 9:30 am
Erev Yom Kippur/Kol Nidre Wed., Oct. 12th at 7:00 pm
Yom Kippur Morning Service Thurs., Oct. 13th at 9:30 am
Yom Kippur Mincha Service Thurs., Oct. 13th at 5:15 pm
